Full face mask: Most full face masks cover the nose and the mouth, but some may cover the full face.
APAP machines use pressure sensors and a computer algorithm to auto-titrate, or calculate exactly what pressure of air a sleeper needs at any given moment. As a result, an APAP machine might work better for someone who feels uncomfortable with the consistent pressure of air released from a CPAP machine.

Your sleep specialist may also recommend a study called the multiple sleep latency test (MSLT). This study is done to determine how sleepy you are during the day. You’ll wear monitoring devices while you lie down for five naps spaced throughout the day. You can walk around between naps.

Nasal pillow mask. This type of mask has a website small cushion that caps over your nostril area. It may also have prongs that fit into your nostrils. The brain controls sleep and its different stages including drowsiness, light sleep, deep sleep, and dream sleep.
